(Consulting, Dev Agencies).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"8,1,0\"><b data-path-to-node=\"8,1,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Product:<\/b> You build what the market needs. (SaaS, Tools).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"9\">Most founders start in Services because it pays the bills immediately. But if you stay there, you are not building a business. You are building a <b data-path-to-node=\"9\" data-index-in-node=\"146\">Job with Overhead<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"10\"><b data-path-to-node=\"10\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">The Math of Servitude<\/b><\/p>\n<ul data-path-to-node=\"11\">\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"11,0,0\"><b data-path-to-node=\"11,0,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Service Business:<\/b> <code data-path-to-node=\"11,0,0\" data-index-in-node=\"18\">Revenue = Headcount \u00d7 Hourly Rate<\/code>. To grow, you must hire. Complexity grows with revenue. Margins are eaten by management overhead. You are selling <b data-path-to-node=\"11,0,0\" data-index-in-node=\"166\">Time<\/b>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"11,1,0\"><b data-path-to-node=\"11,1,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Product Business:<\/b> <code data-path-to-node=\"11,1,0\" data-index-in-node=\"18\">Revenue = Users \u00d7 Subscription<\/code>. To grow, you do not need to add humans linearly. You are selling <b data-path-to-node=\"11,1,0\" data-index-in-node=\"115\">Code<\/b>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"12\">Code is the only form of leverage that can work while you sleep. A service agreement requires you to be awake.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"13\"><b data-path-to-node=\"13\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">The &#8220;Golden Handcuffs&#8221; Trap<\/b> Services are addictive. You send an invoice, you get paid. Products are brutal. You build for 6 months, you get $0. The &#8220;Trap&#8221; is that successful service founders get used to the cash flow. They become too afraid to invest the time\/money required to build the Product. They die rich (cash-heavy) but poor (asset-light).<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"14\"><b data-path-to-node=\"14\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">The Protocol: The Bridge<\/b> If you are in Services today:<\/p>\n<ol start=\"1\" data-path-to-node=\"15\">\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"15,0,0\"><b data-path-to-node=\"15,0,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Do not quit.<\/b> (You need the cash).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"15,1,0\"><b data-path-to-node=\"15,1,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Identify the Pattern.<\/b> What problem do you solve manually for every client?<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"15,2,0\"><b data-path-to-node=\"15,2,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Codify the Solution.<\/b> Build a tool that solves <i data-path-to-node=\"15,2,0\" data-index-in-node=\"46\">that specific problem<\/i>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"15,3,0\"><b data-path-to-node=\"15,3,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Sell the Tool.<\/b> Initially to your existing clients, then to the world.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"16\">Use the Service to fund the Product. But never confuse the two. The Service is the <b data-path-to-node=\"16\" data-index-in-node=\"83\">Fuel<\/b>. The Product is the <b data-path-to-node=\"16\" data-index-in-node=\"108\">Engine<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"17\"><b data-path-to-node=\"17\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">#DhandheKaFunda:<\/b> <i data-path-to-node=\"17\" data-index-in-node=\"17\">Wealth is not determined by how hard you work.
