Because designing a card is safe. The card cannot say &#8220;No&#8221; to you. The logo cannot reject your pricing. Making a sales call is dangerous. The market can hurt your ego. So, we hide in the &#8220;Prep Work.&#8221; We tell ourselves we are &#8220;building the foundation,&#8221; but we are actually hiding from the market.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"9\"><b data-path-to-node=\"9\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">The &#8220;Minimum Viable Credibility&#8221;<\/b><\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"9\">The purpose of a business card (or website) is not to impress; it is to verify. It is a hygiene factor.<\/p>\n<ul data-path-to-node=\"10\">\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"10,0,0\">Does it exist? Yes.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"10,1,0\">Is it clean? Yes.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"10,2,0\">Does it have your phone number? Yes. <b data-path-to-node=\"10,2,0\" data-index-in-node=\"37\">Done.<\/b><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"11\">If you spend more than 15 minutes on it, you are stealing time from your product.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"12\"><b data-path-to-node=\"12\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">The Protocol: The $0 Rule<\/b><\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"12\">Until you have your first paying customer, you are not allowed to buy premium assets.<\/p>\n<ul data-path-to-node=\"13\">\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"13,0,0\">No $500 logo.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"13,1,0\">No embossed cards.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"13,2,0\">No custom office furniture.
