We believe that for every action, there must be an Authorizing Figure who says &#8220;Go.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"10\"><b data-path-to-node=\"10\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">The Reality of the Wild<\/b><\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"10\">In the wild (Entrepreneurship, Art, High-Level Leadership), there are no Authorizing Figures. There is no &#8220;Committee of Success&#8221; that grants you the license to be great.<\/p>\n<ul data-path-to-node=\"11\">\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"11,0,0\">If you wait for a publisher to pick you, you are a &#8220;Waiter.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"11,1,0\">If you self-publish and build an audience, you are a &#8220;Player.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"12\"><b data-path-to-node=\"12\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">The Green Light Delusion<\/b><\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"12\">Most people spend their lives waiting for a Green Light that doesn&#8217;t exist.<\/p>\n<ul data-path-to-node=\"13\">\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"13,0,0\"><i data-path-to-node=\"13,0,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">&#8220;I&#8217;ll start the business when the economy is better.&#8221;<\/i><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"13,1,0\"><i data-path-to-node=\"13,1,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">&#8220;I&#8217;ll lead the team when I get the promotion.&#8221;<\/i><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"14\"><b data-path-to-node=\"14\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">The Truth:<\/b> You don&#8217;t get the promotion to <i data-path-to-node=\"14\" data-index-in-node=\"42\">let<\/i> you lead. You get the promotion because you <i data-path-to-node=\"14\" data-index-in-node=\"90\">already<\/i> led. <b data-path-to-node=\"14\" data-index-in-node=\"103\">Action precedes Authority.<\/b><\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"15\"><b data-path-to-node=\"15\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">The Protocol: Permissionless Leverage<\/b><\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"15\">Stop asking: <i data-path-to-node=\"15\" data-index-in-node=\"51\">&#8220;Can I do this?&#8221;<\/i> Start asking: <i data-path-to-node=\"15\" data-index-in-node=\"82\">&#8220;Who is going to stop me?&#8221;<\/i><\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"16\"><b data-path-to-node=\"16\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">1. The &#8220;Draft&#8221; Maneuver<\/b> Don&#8217;t ask your boss: <i data-path-to-node=\"16\" data-index-in-node=\"45\">&#8220;Can we rewrite the marketing strategy?&#8221;<\/i> (They will say: &#8220;Let&#8217;s have a meeting.&#8221;) Instead, rewrite it on Saturday. Send it on Monday: <i data-path-to-node=\"16\" data-index-in-node=\"179\">&#8220;I had an idea and sketched this out. It&#8217;s 80% done. Should we ship it?&#8221;<\/i> It is impossible to ignore finished work.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"17\"><b data-path-to-node=\"17\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">2. The Credential Trap<\/b> Don&#8217;t wait for the degree.<\/p>\n<ul data-path-to-node=\"18\">\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"18,0,0\">Don&#8217;t get an MBA to learn business. Start a business.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"18,1,0\">Don&#8217;t get a certificate to learn coding. Build an app. The market values <b data-path-to-node=\"18,1,0\" data-index-in-node=\"73\">Portfolios<\/b> over <b data-path-to-node=\"18,1,0\" data-index-in-node=\"89\">Diplomas<\/b>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"19\"><b data-path-to-node=\"19\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">#DhandheKaFunda:<\/b> <i data-path-to-node=\"19\" data-index-in-node=\"17\">The world gives you exactly what you ask for.
