We value &#8220;Seniority&#8221; (Time Served) over &#8220;Adaptability&#8221; (Rate of Learning). This is a fatal error in a world where the Half-Life of a skill is now ~3 years.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"8\"><b data-path-to-node=\"8\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">The &#8220;1 Year x 10&#8221; Problem<\/b><\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"8\">Most &#8220;Senior&#8221; professionals do not have 10 years of experience. They have <b data-path-to-node=\"8\" data-index-in-node=\"100\">1 year of experience, repeated 10 times.<\/b><\/p>\n<ul data-path-to-node=\"9\">\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"9,0,0\">They learned how to do the job in 2015.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"9,1,0\">They have been hitting &#8220;Copy\/Paste&#8221; ever since.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"9,2,0\">They call this &#8220;Wisdom.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"9,3,0\">The market calls it &#8220;Obsolescence.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"10\"><b data-path-to-node=\"10\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">The Curse of Expertise<\/b><\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"10\">When you believe you are an &#8220;Expert,&#8221; you stop looking for new answers. You defend your old answers.<\/p>\n<ul data-path-to-node=\"11\">\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"11,0,0\"><i data-path-to-node=\"11,0,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">The Expert:<\/i> &#8220;We can&#8217;t do that. It didn&#8217;t work in 2018.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"11,1,0\"><i data-path-to-node=\"11,1,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">The Sovereign:<\/i> &#8220;The context has changed. Let&#8217;s test it again.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"12\"><b data-path-to-node=\"12\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">The Protocol: The White Belt Mindset (Shoshin)<\/b><\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"12\">In martial arts, the Black Belt indicates mastery. But true masters know that the goal is to return to the <b data-path-to-node=\"12\" data-index-in-node=\"154\">White Belt Mindset<\/b> (Shoshin). The White Belt is terrified, eager, and open. The White Belt <i data-path-to-node=\"12\" data-index-in-node=\"245\">learns<\/i>.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"13\"><b data-path-to-node=\"13\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">1. Kill Your Past<\/b> Stop starting sentences with <i data-path-to-node=\"13\" data-index-in-node=\"47\">&#8220;In my experience&#8230;&#8221;<\/i> Start sentences with <i data-path-to-node=\"13\" data-index-in-node=\"90\">&#8220;Based on current data&#8230;&#8221;<\/i> Your experience is a sunk cost. Use it as a filter, not a wall.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"14\"><b data-path-to-node=\"14\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">2. The Reverse Mentor<\/b> If you are over 40, find a 22-year-old mentor.<\/p>\n<ul data-path-to-node=\"15\">\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"15,0,0\">You teach them Strategy.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"15,1,0\">They teach you Speed (and new tools). This is not &#8220;charity.&#8221; This is survival.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"16\"><b data-path-to-node=\"16\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">#DhandheKaFunda:<\/b> <i data-path-to-node=\"16\" data-index-in-node=\"17\">Experience is like milk.
