When a strategy lacks direction, we add goals. When a leader lacks confidence, they add meetings.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"10\">&#8220;More&#8221; is the camouflage we use to hide the fact that we don&#8217;t know what matters.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"11\"><b data-path-to-node=\"11\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">The &#8220;Feature&#8221; Trap &#8211; <\/b>I see founders who want to build 10 features because &#8220;competitors have them.&#8221; This is fear masquerading as ambition. They believe that if they offer <i data-path-to-node=\"11\" data-index-in-node=\"168\">everything<\/i>, they won&#8217;t lose <i data-path-to-node=\"11\" data-index-in-node=\"196\">anyone<\/i>. But by trying to be everything for everyone, they become nothing for anyone.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"12\"><b data-path-to-node=\"12\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">The Protocol: Less AND Better<\/b> &#8211; Note the operator: <b data-path-to-node=\"12\" data-index-in-node=\"49\">AND<\/b>. &#8220;Doing less&#8221; is not laziness. It is a strategic sacrifice. It is easy to build 10 average features. It is agonizingly hard to build 1 perfect one.<\/p>\n<ul data-path-to-node=\"13\">\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"13,0,0\"><b data-path-to-node=\"13,0,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Average:<\/b> A Swiss Army Knife (It cuts, it screws, it opens bottles\u2014but it does all of them poorly).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"13,1,0\"><b data-path-to-node=\"13,1,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Excellent:<\/b> A Scalpel (It does one thing, and it does it with lethal precision).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"14\"><b data-path-to-node=\"14\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">The Standard<\/b> If you cannot make it better, do not add it. If the feature does not serve the <i data-path-to-node=\"14\" data-index-in-node=\"92\">core utility<\/i>, it is not a &#8220;bonus.&#8221; It is friction. It is noise. It is debt.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"15\">Be the scalpel.
