Systems tend toward disorder.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"7\"><b data-path-to-node=\"7\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">The Calculus of Trajectory<\/b><\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"7\">Right now, you are on a specific trajectory in every area of your life. If you change <i data-path-to-node=\"7\" data-index-in-node=\"113\">nothing<\/i>\u2014if you just keep doing exactly what you are doing today\u2014where will you be in 5 years?<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"8\">This is your <b data-path-to-node=\"8\" data-index-in-node=\"13\">Default Future<\/b>.<\/p>\n<ul data-path-to-node=\"9\">\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"9,0,0\"><b data-path-to-node=\"9,0,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Health:<\/b> If you keep eating\/moving like today, will you be fit or diabetic in 5 years?<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"9,1,0\"><b data-path-to-node=\"9,1,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Wealth:<\/b> If you keep saving\/spending like today, will you be free or broke?<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"9,2,0\"><b data-path-to-node=\"9,2,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Relationships:<\/b> If you keep communicating like today, will you be married or divorced?<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"10\"><b data-path-to-node=\"10\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">The &#8220;Known Exit&#8221;<\/b><\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"10\">Most people refuse to look at the Default Future because it is terrifying. They hope for a miracle. <i data-path-to-node=\"10\" data-index-in-node=\"117\">&#8220;Maybe things will just get better.&#8221;<\/i> Things never &#8220;just get better.&#8221; Gardens don&#8217;t weed themselves. Houses don&#8217;t clean themselves. Without active energy, the Default Future is always decay.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"11\"><b data-path-to-node=\"11\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">The Protocol: The vector Change<\/b><\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"11\">To escape the Default Future, you cannot just &#8220;try harder&#8221; (Magnitude). You must change the <b data-path-to-node=\"11\" data-index-in-node=\"124\">Angle<\/b> (Vector).<\/p>\n<ol start=\"1\" data-path-to-node=\"12\">\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"12,0,0\"><b data-path-to-node=\"12,0,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Write the Horror Story:<\/b> explicitly write down your Default Future. <i data-path-to-node=\"12,0,0\" data-index-in-node=\"67\">&#8220;If I don&#8217;t change, in 5 years I will be 20lbs heavier, stuck in middle management, and bored.&#8221;<\/i><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"12,1,0\"><b data-path-to-node=\"12,1,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">The Intervention:<\/b> You need a <b data-path-to-node=\"12,1,0\" data-index-in-node=\"29\">Discontinuity<\/b>. A radical break.<\/p>\n<ul data-path-to-node=\"12,1,1\">\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"12,1,1,0,0\">Not &#8220;I will eat slightly less.&#8221; (Drift).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"12,1,1,1,0\">But &#8220;I will stop buying sugar.&#8221; (Vector Change).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"12,1,1,2,0\">Not &#8220;I will work harder.&#8221; (Drift).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"12,1,1,3,0\">But &#8220;I will quit this job and start the company.&#8221; (Vector Change).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"13\"><b data-path-to-node=\"13\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">#DhandheKaFunda:<\/b> <i data-path-to-node=\"13\" data-index-in-node=\"17\">If you are not steering, you are drifting.
