Dhanteras

Dhanteras marks the beginning of the Diwali festival. It is a day dedicated to Lord Dhanvantari, the god of health and Ayurveda, and Goddess Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth. On this day, people buy gold, silver, and other valuables as a sign of prosperity and to welcome good fortune into their lives.
